Like a Breath of Fresh Air
I picture myself using design as a tool to build the relationships with people and things around me,looking at the core (素 -moto- in Japanese), or the base state (素 -su-), of various things.
The company’s name “Su-” can mean “comfortable” or “pleasant”.
I’d like to keep stretching my senses as far as I can.
The name “Su-” was given as a gift by the poet Kenta Kobato to celebrate my starting this company. The painter Tomo Ando was commissioned to draw illustrations of the scenery around the company’s office in Ashiyagawa. The website was designed by Eyu Nakajima of Booklore, and an English translation is provided by Yuki Matsushima.
Additionally, I’ve got the support and cooperation of many sincere people around me. It’s thanks to them that I could make this new start.
I deeply appreciate of all the support I have received.
